NOW HIRING – KOCF Station Manager

⭐️ About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate, community-minded leader to serve as Station Manager for KOCF 92.7 FM—the Oregon Country Fair’s very own low-power community radio station. You’ll be the central coordinator who keeps the station running, builds relationships, and helps shape the sound and spirit of our broadcasts.

You won’t be doing it alone! You’ll be working closely with a six-person leadership team that oversees key areas like programming, operations, website design, social media, creative design, and engineering. Together, you’ll collaborate to bring high-quality, community-focused radio to listeners across Fern Ridge, Eugene/Springfield, and beyond.

🎙️ What You’ll Be Doing

Fair Connection & Vision

  • Maintain strong ties with Oregon Country Fair leadership.
  • Collaborate on a long-term vision for KOCF that serves both the Fair and the wider community.
  • Help implement that vision through day-to-day leadership.

Team Collaboration

  • Work hand-in-hand with the station’s leadership team to coordinate all aspects of station operations—from the tech and the tunes to our online presence and community outreach.
  • Support and empower volunteers, programmers, and creative contributors.

Station Management

  • Oversee the station’s operations, including scheduling, branding, business needs, and community presence.
  • Ensure alignment between our mission, content, and community expectations.
  • Handle logistics, delegate tasks, and keep things moving.

Community Relations

  • Be one of the public faces (and voices!) of KOCF.
  • Build strong connections with local organizations, artists, and listeners.
  • Represent the station at events and ensure KOCF stays visible and vibrant.

Everything Else

You’ll wear a lot of hats, including:

  • Keeping the station FCC-compliant
  • Supporting volunteers and new programming
  • Maintaining or upgrading broadcasting equipment
  • Creating or reviewing new show ideas
  • Participating in fundraising and outreach
  • Coordinating remote broadcasts and live coverage of community events

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in radio, broadcasting, or a related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with public media and community broadcasting values
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working live, managing multiple moving parts, and solving problems on the fly
  • Passion for music, storytelling, and grassroots community media
  • A collaborative spirit—you’re someone who listens as much as you lead
